The aim of this workshop is to bring together young researchers and leading scientists interested in mathematical modelling and control for biological systems.

We would like to invite you to attend the workshop, and to present your research activity.  For any other information  concerning registration, abstract submission and important dates, you can visit the website:

The workshop is free of charge but the registration is required.

We hope to receive your abstract and to see you all in September. Save the date and spread the information about your interested colleagues and students.

    Best regards.

The Workshop "Waiting for the BioToMath Conference - Mathematics Challenges in Biology and Medicine" will take place in onsite+online hybrid form in the day October 1st, 2021:

    https://areeweb.polito.it/disma-excellence/events_2021/BioToMath/index.html

This one-day-workshop will be the anticipation of the Bio-TO-Math Conference that will take place next spring, whether allowed by the health emergency scenario. These events will bring to Torino leading scientists from the bio-physical and the mathematical communities, to address groundbreaking researches in biosciences that can be potentially investigated with mathematical models and tools motivated by biological applications.

The onsite venue is the Politecnico di Torino. The works of the meeting will be also streamed via Zoom. The workshop is sponsored by MIUR Excellence Project 2018 - 2022.

Participation at the event is free of charge, but registration is mandatory. The registration deadline is 15 September 2021.
For registration please fill the form (suggested browser: Google Chrome) available at https://www.polito.it/survey3/index.php/937131?lang=en

    ** Deadline for application: October 31, 2021 **

One particular component of the Hausdorff Research Institute for Mathematics (HIM) at Bonn, Germany, is the promotion of young researchers through Junior Trimester Programs (JTPs). The structure of a JTP is bottom-up: Young researchers constitute the core of the participants and organize the program. We seek applications from 30 scientists worldwide, preferably groups but also individuals, whose research interests fit the current theme. Individuals should be open to project work with other participants. The groups are encouraged to initiate various kinds of activities such as seminars or workshops. In addition, the participants can take the initiative to invite a senior mathematician with whom they can carry out research together.

The next JTP "Stochastic modelling in the life science: From evolution to medicine“  will take place between May 2 and August 26, 2022 at Bonn. It gives young mathematicians (postdocs, junior faculty) the opportunity to carry out collaborative research in stochastic modelling in the life science.

The stay in Bonn is fully financed by HIM, so that successful candidates can apply for leave from their home institutions. We recommend stays of 4 months, but visits as short stays of a few weeks are possible, too.

Deadline for application is October 31, 2021. You can find the online application form here: https://www.him.uni-bonn.de/stochastic-modelling-life-science/online-application/

    Kind regards,
Stefan Hartmann (Hausdorff Center for Mathematics, Bonn, Germany)
