EEG recording and analysis in post-stroke patients with chronic aphasia and development of a clinical treatment based on noninvasive electrical stimulation (tACS) of the human cortex.

CorStim SAS is a recent startup looking to fill as soon as possible a fully funded postdoctoral position in Montpellier, France. The qualified candidate will benefit from joining a dynamic and multidisciplinary team working at the interface of electrophysiology, computational and cognitive neuroscience, and mathematics.
Opportunity:
CorStim conceives, develops and applies a new medical strategy aimed to restore neurological functions. To this end, our approach integrates closed-loop neurotechnologies with innovative treatments developed through mathematical modeling, engineering and preclinical studies. By working with a network of partners, CorStim is committed to validate this new therapeutic strategy for the treatment of poststroke aphasia. The overarching goal of CorStim is to see our treatment used every day in rehabilitation clinics worldwide as well as in the patients’ home.

The successful candidate will implement and apply stimulation algorithms to enhance tACS-based therapies from EEG neuromarkers. Specifically, (s)he will:
