The Department of Mathematics is seeking to hire two excellent research and education academics.

The Department currently includes 18 permanent staff. We are engaged in research across pure and applied mathematics and mathematical physics, and game theory is one of our areas of expertise. In the last Research Excellence Framework, 97% of Mathematics outputs were rated as either world-leading or internationally excellent and Mathematics ranked 11th in the UK for research impact. The Department runs four BSc undergraduate programmes in Mathematics, Mathematics with Data Science, Mathematics and Finance, and Mathematics with Finance and Economics as well as an MSc in Mathematics and in Mathematics with Data Science, and a Foundation Year programme.
