A 1-year post-doctoral position on "Epidemic models in structured populations, and for vector-borne infections” is open for applications. Deadline April 23; start, at the earliest, around May 15 or in the following months, as agreed.
The successful candidate will work in the research group at the Department of Mathematics at the University of Trento, well connected to other research groups on epidemic models.

Main aim will be analyzing the effect of heterogeneity in epidemic models and studying the application of models with heterogeneity to available data on influenza and other infectious diseases. Analyzing models for vector-borne epidemics, both by studying their application to available data, in particular on WNV, and by extending theoretical results in the case of seasonal environment, multi-host transmission and/or spatial spread.
