  • Jagiellonian University, Kraków

We are happy to announce that the 38th Marian Smoluchowski Symposium on Statistical Physics, http://www.smoluchowski.if.uj.edu.pl/, will take place in its regular, stationary form on 14 - 17 September in Kraków, Poland.

The 38th Symposium continues the tradition of former meetings focusing on foundations and applications of statistical physics with special attention to soft matter, nonequilibrium fluctuations, and information processing.

A satellite workshop, Computational Neuroscience Academy (CNA 2025), accompanies this year's edition of the symposium. CNA2025 is designed to provide a course on the mathematical, physical, and machine learning techniques essential for neuroimaging data analysis. Participants will explore various methods and tools for analyzing, visualizing, and modeling neuroscience data. These skills are crucial for handling complex datasets and ensuring the generation of reliable, reproducible research outcomes.

The program of the 2025 Symposium is expected to cover among others:
- Information processing,
- Physics of Natural and Artificial Intelligence,
- Active matter, collective phenomena in living systems,
- Complex networks,
- Simulations and modeling in polymer physics and soft matter,
- New frontiers in contemporary statistical physics.

Further information about the Symposium (venue, conference fee, proceedings, etc.) can be found at: http://www.smoluchowski.if.uj.edu.pl/about

Important deadlines:
- Early registration: till July 03, 2025
- Late registration: from July 04 to July 31, 2025
- Abstract submission: till April 30, 2025
- Notification of acceptance: till May 17, 2025
Looking forward to meeting you in Kraków!
