PRISM – Digital Twins for Personalised Radiotherapy through Integrated Simulation and Modelling
18–21 January 2027, Politecnico di Milano, Milan, Italy
PRISM (Digital Twins for Personalised Radiotherapy through Integrated Simulation and Modelling) is an international networking event dedicated to the emerging role of Digital Twins in precision oncology. The meeting will bring together researchers in mathematical and computational modelling, clinicians, medical physicists, data scientists, industry representatives, regulators, and patient advocates to explore how integrated modelling and artificial intelligence can transform personalised radiotherapy.
Radiotherapy is becoming increasingly data-rich, generating large volumes of clinical, imaging, biological, and treatment information. Digital Twin technologies offer a unique opportunity to integrate these heterogeneous data sources with mechanistic and data-driven models to predict treatment response, toxicity, and long-term outcomes. However, significant scientific, technological, and regulatory challenges remain before these approaches can be translated into routine clinical practice.
The programme will feature invited lectures, interdisciplinary discussions, and collaborative workshops covering topics such as multimodal data integration, AI for personalised radiotherapy, radiobiology and treatment response, clinical translation, regulation, governance, and societal impact. PRISM aims to foster new collaborations and develop a shared vision for trustworthy Digital Twin technologies in cancer care.
The event is organised by an international scientific committee led by Paolo Zunino (Politecnico di Milano) and is supported by the European Partnership for Personalised Medicine (EP PerMed, Grant Agreement No. 101137129).
Registration is now open, and participants from the mathematical and theoretical biology community are warmly encouraged to attend.
