Dear Colleagues, We are pleased to announce that the research school "Mathematical Biology: Collective Behavior and Pattern Formation" will be held from July 1st to 5th, 2024 at the Centre International de Rencontres Mathématiques (CIRM) in Luminy, Marseille, France.
We are happy to welcome the following lecturers: *Thierry Emonet (Yale University)* Navigation in chemical environments *Nicolas Fournier (Sorbonne Université)* Probability and interacting particle systems for the Keller-Segel model *Pierre-François Lenne(IBDM Marseille) & Thomas Lepoutre (Inria Lyon) & Marie Manceau (CNRS & Collège de France)* [joint lecture] Pattern formation in developmental biology *Sara Merino Aceituno (University of Vienna)* Mathematics of collective behaviors *Thierry Paul (CNRS & Sorbonne Université)* PDE at the micro- and the macroscopic scale
Grants are available for young researchers interested in attending the school. These grants will cover partial accommodation expenses. The deadline for submitting an application is April 16th, 2024. The applicants should upload a short letter + CV + name of a scientific referent to be contacted.
Applications for registration (deadline end of May) and for grants (deadline mid April) go through the website of the school: https://conferences.cirm-math.fr/3073.html
This event echoes the research school organized one week before (June 24-28) as part of J.A. Carrillo and Anne Nouri's Chaire Jean Morlet: "Frontiers in Interacting Particle Systems, Aggregation-Diffusion Equations & Collective Behavior".
The interested participants may consider a coupled registration: https://conferences.cirm-math.fr/3050.html
Additional information can be requested from the organizers by email.
We hope to see you in Marseille in July! Best regards, The Organizers Vincent Calvez Tam Mignot Milica Tomasevic Ariane Trescases
